North Bay Lodge is a long-term residential home for independent adults living with mental health conditions or intellectual disabilities. Our residents include individuals with a range of diagnoses, such as Down syndrome, acquired brain injury, chronic depression, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

At North Bay Lodge, we provide the supervision, support, and sense of community needed for residents to thrive beyond institutional care. Our goal is to offer a safe and nurturing environment where each person can experience meaningful connection, independence, and stability within a comfortable “home away from home.”

Our Philosophy

At North Bay Lodge, we offer a caring, comfortable, and secure home where residents can enjoy a true “home away from home.” Our focus is on each resident’s physical and emotional well-being.

Through supervised care, we provide thoughtful support in a calm, low-stress environment where compassion, respect, and dignity are at the heart of everything we do. From medication administration to personalised activity schedules, our dedicated team ensures every resident feels valued and cared for.

Our house rules encourage a friendly, harmonious atmosphere that promotes emotional balance and a sense of belonging. Residents may stay with us for as long as they are comfortable and well, with guidance and support available should specialised care ever be needed.

Our Facilities and Services:

North Bay Lodge offers comfortable accommodation with a choice of bedrooms featuring either en-suite or shared bathrooms. Residents are encouraged to furnish and decorate their private spaces according to their personal preferences.

Our communal areas — including the TV lounge, dining hall, reception, and courtyards — are spacious, welcoming, and designed to promote relaxation and social connection.

In addition to supervised care and daily activities, our services include:

  • Daily medication administered under the direction of the Supervisor and trained staff
  • Nutritious meals: breakfast, a hot lunch, a light hot dinner, and soups served daily
  • Three teas and snacks each day
  • Laundry and housekeeping services

North Bay Lodge is managed by a dedicated General Manager, supported by a capable team of Carers and Supervisors, along with a part-time in-house Registered Social Worker and Nursing Sister who ensure the well-being of all residents.

At North Bay Lodge, we strive to provide a caring, comfortable, and safe home where residents can experience a “home away from home” lifestyle through supervised care. The physical and emotional well-being of our residents is of real importance to us; hence, we cater to them in a non-threatening and low-stress environment.
